Situated in the quiet 17th Arrondissement Paris, this three-pearl boutique hotel is a bit far from most Paris sights, but is only a three-minute walk from the Porte de Champerret Metro station. Its 45 rooms are compact and contemporary, with modern technology like Apple Mac Minis connected to flat-screen TVs. While there is no proper restaurant or bar, the hotel has an Honesty Bar with wine and
soft drinks, and offers a breakfast buffet for an extra fee. This hotel isn't as artsy
or as character-endowed as the Hotel de Banville down the road, but it is a sharp, modern option for adult tourists or business travelers at a lower
Like all hotels in the aptly named Elegancia chain, this boutique property offers plenty of sleek style that punches above its three-pearl category. Interiors are defined by a blend of ultra-modern and retro accents, with a balanced palette of dark, moody hues like navy and purple alongside warm woods and earth tones. Inset wall lighting give the spaces a sexy glow. Like most small hotels in Paris, there's not a whole lot of common space here, and the hotel is mostly used as a chic and reasonably priced base from which to go out and explore Paris. However, there are a few places for guests to sit in the lobby, and the collection of candles next to a pair of navy blue couches would be a fine place to enjoy a drink from the Honesty Bar. Most guests are visiting couples from the U.S. or U.K., although small business
groups pass through on occasion owing the hotel's proximity to La Defense.
In quiet residential area, a three-minute walk from the metro
This hotel is
located in Paris' quiet 17th Arrondissement of Paris, a safe and mostly residential area that's a bit of a hike from the main tourist zones of the city. The hotel sits on a dead
end street with no traffic. Walks to the sights are too long for comfort, and the closest sight of note is the Arc de Triomphe at the beginning of the Champs Elysees, at 20 minutes away on foot. There is a good handful of restaurants in the neighborhood and the Porte de Champerret
Metro station is a three-minute walk from the hotel. Museums including the Louvre and the Musee d'Orsay are about 30 minutes away by metro and the Eiffel Tower takes about 40 minutes to reach by public transit. Paris' business district, La Defense, is 35 minutes away by metro, or 15 to 20 minutes by taxi. Charles de
Gaulle Airport is about a 25-minute drive from the hotel, or about 45
minutes away via public transportation. Orly Airport is up to an hour's drive depending on traffic, and takes about the same amount of time to reach by using the metro and train.
Dark and contemporary style, but be prepared for compact layouts
Small but stylish, the hotel’s 45 rooms
make the most of their limited space and provide a chic place to rest for the night -- provided that the dim lighting isn't a bother. Despite subtle variations in size and color, all rooms employ the same design elements including wallpaper in hues ranging from charcoal gray to light taupe, dramatic leather headboards, and contemporary furniture that has just the right amount of shimmer. Black-and-white portraits add a dash of classic pizzazz. Guests in most rooms should be prepared for close quarters, though, as the entry-level City Double Standard Rooms start at a tiny 10 square meters (108 square feet) and the largest category, Bexley Executive Double Rooms, top out at 22.5 square meters of space (242 square feet). All rooms include flat-screen TVs with Apple Mac Minis, free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, safes, and minibars. Beds get rave reviews from most guests. Bathrooms are beautiful and modern, with
marble walls, generous vanities, square toilets, and a
large glass shower or shower/tub combos with rainfall showerheads. Premium L'Occitane toiletries are provided.
As with most mid-range hotels in Paris, there's not a whole lot on offer here outside of the guest rooms. However, the hotel does provide an Honesty Bar that's stocked with wine, Champagne, and soft drinks. There's also a breakfast buffet that includes fresh fruit, pastries, juice and coffee, though it's not included in room rates. A meeting
room and small business center are available for group events. Shoe shine and concierge services can be arranged with the front desk, and Wi-Fi is free throughout.
